The community of Hébertville, Québec is mourning the heartbreaking loss of William Gaudreault, a young man whose life was tragically cut short following an accident. William passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 22, leaving behind a grieving family, devoted friends, and a community struggling to come to terms with the loss of someone taken far too soon.

Born to Sylvain Gaudreault and Cynthia Falardeau, William was deeply loved by his family and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. To those closest to him, he was more than a son, brother, and partner—he was a source of joy, laughter, and warmth. His passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him, yet the memories he created will forever remain a source of comfort and strength.

William shared a special bond with his two brothers, Jérémy and Mathis, who will carry his memory with them always. He was also the beloved partner of Anabelle Chabot, affectionately described as his “princess,” with whom he shared a deep and meaningful love. Their connection was one built on affection, companionship, and dreams for the future, making his sudden passing all the more heartbreaking.

He is also lovingly remembered by his grandmothers Marjolaine Gagné and Ginette Boivin, along with his godmother Mélissa Falardeau and godfather Alexandre Gaudreault. William’s extended family, including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and members of the Albert, Chabot, Boivin, and Gaudreault families, will forever hold his memory close. His loss is also deeply felt among his many close friends, including Jean-Félix, Alexis, Raphaël, Karim, Marc-Étienne, Annie, and Noah, who shared countless memories and moments with him throughout the years.

Those who knew William remember him as a vibrant young man whose presence could light up a room. He valued his friendships deeply and was known for his loyalty, kindness, and the genuine way he cared for those around him. His laughter, energy, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember William during visitations on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Résidence Funéraire Lac-St-Jean in Hébertville. A celebration of his life will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the same location. Following the ceremony, William will be entrusted to the crematorium, and his ashes will later be laid to rest at Notre-Dame Cemetery in Hébertville.

The family has expressed their sincere gratitude to the first responders and the medical staff at the Hôpital d’Alma emergency department for their professionalism, compassion, and tireless efforts.

Though William’s life ended far too soon, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will always be remembered, always missed, and forever loved.
