It is with broken hearts that the Harrisburg community mourns the sudden and tragic passing of Marley Moser, a gifted softball player and cherished member of the Harrisburg High School family.
Marley was a proud student-athlete at Harrisburg High School, where she wore her team colors with dedication and pride. On the softball field, she was known for her determination, athletic ability, and unwavering team spirit. Whether stepping up to the plate, taking the field, or cheering on her teammates from the dugout, Marley gave her full heart to the game she loved.
But beyond her talent as an athlete, Marley will be remembered most for who she was as a person. She was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend, and teammate. Her kindness came naturally. She had a way of lifting others up, offering encouragement, and creating a sense of belonging wherever she went. Coaches and teammates alike describe her as dedicated, positive, and deeply supportive — someone who made her team stronger simply by being part of it.
The sudden loss of Marley has left a profound void, not only within her school and softball program, but across the broader Harrisburg community. The shock and sorrow are shared by classmates, teachers, friends, and families who watched her grow both on and off the field. Her light, her laughter, and her steady presence will be missed more than words can express.
In the face of this unimaginable loss, the community is coming together to support the Moser family. With the family’s approval, a GoFundMe has been established to assist with medical expenses, funeral arrangements, and to allow the family the time and space they need to grieve and remain together during this heartbreaking time.
This tragedy has touched many lives, and it is through unity and compassion that the community will honor Marley’s memory. May we carry forward her spirit of kindness and dedication, both in sport and in life.
Marley Moser will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace.
